The Role
The HR Generalist is primary responsible for day to-day HR support to the organization, as well as HR and benefit administration within the Corporate HR Department. HR support will include front line employee relations, administration of HR policies and procedures, partnering with site HR Managers to provide first line employee relations, coordination of employee recruiting process, administrative support as well as coordinating employee events.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates the hourly and temporary employee recruiting process for entire organization. Works collaboratively with hiring manager (s) to source, screen, interview and recommend candidates for selection process.In collaboration with the Director of Corporate HR, is responsible for policy development, interpretation, review and updating.Assists with the 401(k)-plan administration to include non-discrimination testing, filing 5500, contribution changes and updates, employee education.Coordinates and responds to State Unemployment compensation requests.Manages the invoice reconciliation and billing process for payment to benefit providersIn collaboration with Director of Corporate HR, coordinates the annual open enrollment activities; which may include ADP updates and programming; development and coordination of communication pieces; scheduling of employee/vendor meetings; participation in presentationsResponsible for COBRA AdministrationProvides one on one support and counsel to employees regarding payroll and/or benefitsResponsible for ensuring compliance to state and federal requirements such as I-9 documentation, E-Verification, Site specific New Hire and Annual notifications, Posting notifications and updates. Maintains, administers and monitors all employee disability and/or FMLA requests.Provides employee relations support to hourly employee base. Is available on a day-to-day basis for questions, is an available resource to all employees.Partners with Engineering to manage the Co-Op Program.Coordination of the employee events such as annual holiday celebrations, wellness events, and other recognition programsProvides backup payroll processing support, and back up for payroll auditing.Provide administrative support to the department (monthly reports, HR metrics, turnover statistics, headcount reports)
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, HR or related field preferred2-5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. PHR certification a plusMicrosoft Office suite experience required. Proven experience facilitating trainingKnowledge and experience with HRIS, preferably ADPExcellent verbal and written communications skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityExcellent communication skills required
