Receiving Operator

Summary

A Receiving Operator will be responsible for the unloading of plant products as they arrive. They will coordinate with the Receiving Lead for product placement and layout. They will be responsible for identifying plant quality & report any change or discrepancies to the Receiving Lead.

 Description 

• Unload incoming plant products safe and efficiently
• Operate machinery when necessary (ex: forklift, tractor, utv, etc.)
• Identify plant species
• Coordinate with Receiving Lead for proper placement
• Lift and Bend frequently
• Work under various work conditions
• Aware of receiving paperwork and process
• Report to Receiving Lead any issues or discrepancies
• Assist other departments with product maintenance, and additional aspects of service, where possible
• Maintain high inventory quality through daily culling activities

Key Qualifications

• Machinery knowledge (preferred)
• Plant identification (preferred)
• Good communication & teamworking skills
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently

Education & Experience

• Dock/Warehouse/Receiving experience
