Department: FinanceFT / PT: Part-TimeSalary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Summary:The position reports to the Township CFO and provides administrative support with day-to-day duties and special projects. This is a part time position, with flexible hours up to 29 hours per week, not to exceed 116 hours per month.
Job Responsibilities:
● Assists with bank reconciliations and associated tasks
● Assists with grants and related research
● Assists with escrow projects
● Supports accounts payable and accounts receivable
● Provides administrative support for budget preparation and maintenance
● Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports based on direction from the CFO
● Assist with Resolution preparation for Township Committee Meetings
● Performs administrative and clerical tasks
● Miscellaneous tasks, other assignments, duties and special projects as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: ● Prior experience in finance or accounting role including but not limited to accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
● Strong clerical, technical, research, and problem solving skills
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Proficiency with Google documents, sheets, calendar, and email and MS Office (Word & Excel)
● Outstanding customer service skills
● Excellent organizational skills
● Efficient time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
● Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively
● Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
● Good collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team
● Ability to work in a fast paced environment
● Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
● Prior experience in municipal government finance
● Prior experience with the grant process, budgets, and escrows
● Experience with Edmunds or MSI
Education, Certifications and Licenses:
● Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
● Related Vocational School Program completion or Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
● Minimum 1 year experience in related field Physical Requirements:
● The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
● Ability to work for extended periods on computer-based tasks
Additional Information:
● Must have a valid NJ Driver's License
● Clearance of a background check
● Normal business hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
