Position Summary

This position is vital to our home repair initiatives. Providing direct support to our Wisconsin Department of Health partner for lead remediation. This position reports to the Director of Construction providing project management support, ensuring compliance, and effectively tracking and monitoring projects for housing programs across the organization, while autonomously managing multiple projects from onset through completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Managing day-to-day operations for various home repair projects, including initiatives like Rock the Block and Lead Safe Homes programs.
Overseeing planning efforts to ensure permits, SOW, designs, procurement, and scheduling are completed as appropriate.
Supporting direct reports, ensuring regular connects weekly to stay aligned.
Partnership with Director of Construction supporting procurement program, including cultivation of a trusted network of contractors.
Expectations to be present, lead and share applicable affiliate updates to all Home Repair staff weekly.
Develop and maintain a project tracking and scheduling system incorporating all new construction, rehab, home repair, Rock the Block and Lead Safe Homes projects.
Act as liaison between Construction staff, Family Services staff, program participants and contracted services to communicate progress and monitor program compliance.
Monitor project progress and recommend adjustments as needed.

Ability to make decisions regarding process management and program operations following established policies and procedures.
Work with internal departments and contractors to ensure timely and accurate completion of training and other grant requirements.
This includes but is not limited to requirements related to: Lead Safe Homes grant, SHOP grant, HUD-approved housing counseling agency certification, and mortgage regulations.
Work with Finance to ensure that Lead Safe Homes projects are invoiced correctly and in a timely manner, and payments are tracked.
Schedule, arrange logistics, and prepare families for relocation as part of the Lead Safe Homes program.
Work with contractors to ensure that all insurance, training and certification requirements are met prior to beginning work on Habitat projects.
Position requires specific skills in problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.

Internal Representation:

Develop strong, positive and lasting relationships with staff and volunteers throughout the organization.

External Representation:

Communicate with program participants, contractors, vendors and state agencies, primarily on program-specific duties.
