Aerospace Fabricator/Machine Operator Job Description:

 

  • Set up and operate machine tools such as stamping presses, drill presses, milling machines and grinders to produce parts to specified dimensions and finishes
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear
  • Perform secondary operations, such as deburring, surface finishing, cleaning, and qualifying of metal parts
  • Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
  • Assist in troubleshooting tooling and/or machine production issues

 

Aerospace Fabricator/Machine Operator Requirements: 

 

  • Ability to set up and operate machine tools to produce parts that are within customer specifications
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and customer specifications to ensure conforming parts
  • Individuals must have an advanced understanding of fabrication and tooling principles, along with relevant hands-on experience
  • High school or equivalent education
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Be very detail oriented
  • Have excellent attendance
  • Being a self-starter with good work habits and the desire to learn

Aerospace Fabricator/Machine Operator Wages

 

  • Wages commensurate with experience
  • Shift Premium for Afternoon Shift
  • Base Wage will be reviewed after 90 Days of employment
  • Overtime may be required
