Our Lender Services team safeguards investments and supports the successful delivery of complex residential, commercial, and industrial development projects. Acting as the lender’s trusted advisor, we provide comprehensive oversight from initial budget reviews through construction monitoring, evaluating costs, schedules, and risks to ensure financial confidence at every stage. With deep expertise in construction and project finance, our team enables lenders to make informed decisions and helps developers navigate the funding process efficiently, driving stronger and more resilient projects.
Our Project Monitoring and Lenders Services team is looking for a Senior Consultant/Associate Director to join our Toronto team.
What You Get to Do
- Leads and assists on up to 20-30 projects per month with minimum supervision.
- Conduct periodic site inspections occasionally and review reports produced by team members.
- Prepare and undertake periodic reviews of progress claim reports, including submitting invoices, valuation of changes, analysis of progress on site and recommendation of loan advances.
- Prepare budget reviews through detailed analysis of development proposals with comprehensive knowledge of typical Lender’s requirements and terms of engagement.
- Establish spatial analysis for a sector of buildings.
- Be aware of market intelligence and market rates for construction as well as different procurement routes and contracts in the marketplace.
- Understand specialist consultant reports and impact on development proposals.
- Accountable for coordinating workload and team resources with the support of the Director.
- Mentors all junior and intermediate level team members while actively participating and leading team meetings.
- Networks regularly promoting the business, cross-selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships.
What You'll Bring
- Having 6 to 10+ years of relevant experience.
- University Degree or equivalent to any of the following: Architectural Building Technology, Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Construction Engineering or Project Management.
- Professional qualification obtained: PQS and/or MRICS.
- Minimum of 3 years of management and/or leadership experience.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Motivate, collaborate and willing shares knowledge with all team members.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment and initiative.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels at BTY and responsive to internal and external stakeholder requests.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail to produce quality work.
- Strong time management skills and meets or exceeds deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics.
- Strong communication skills – verbal, reporting writing & presentation.
- Eligible to work in Canada or pursuing a work permit.
- Hold a valid drivers license.

The typical hiring range for this Toronto role is $80,000-$130,000 CAD per year. This represents base salary only, not total compensation, and BTY Group may offer more or less depending on a candidate's experience and qualifications. Compensation takes into account education, training, experience, location, market factors, and internal alignment. In line with Ontario Pay Transparency rules, a candidate's past salary will not be considered in determining pay.
