Commercial Lines Account Manager - Mission, TX
Position Summary
The Commercial Lines Account Manager will provide quality service to the division's commercial lines customers. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of commercial insurance policies by handling day-to-day client and carrier interactions. The Commercial Lines Account Manager provides advice on commercial insurance needs and drives revenue growth by retaining existing clients and cross-selling additional coverage options. The Commercial Lines Account Manager will work closely with the producer or directly with the client to design and recommend the proper program and coverage to meet the customer's needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients through professional & proactive communication.
- Focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with both external and internal customers.
- Review and analyze existing policies to ensure adequate coverage and competitive pricing based on the customer's unique needs through timely management of a renewal book of business within required timeframe and remarketing as necessary.
- Promptly address customer concerns and questions regarding coverage, billing, and claims.
- Process policy changes, endorsements and cancellations.
- Follow agency processes, procedures, and workflows to ensure scalability and consistency within the department and to ensure the maintenance of detailed client records and files within the Agency Management System.
Other Responsibilities
- Staying current on market conditions, industry regulations, underwriting guidelines, and insurance produce knowledge
- Identify cross-selling and account rounding opportunities. Work with clients directly or the Producer to capitalize on these opportunities.
- Ability to be goal-oriented, self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Available to travel, as needed.
- Support and promote the Bank and Division's vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.
- Must have excellent analysis, observation and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, and sometimes stressful environment, with changing priorities and deadlines and remain composed.
- Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank and/or Division policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, plus 1-3 years of directly applicable experience
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Strong organization & time management skills with keen attention to detail
- Team player with excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and self-motivator, with the ability to foster strong relationships
- Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. Overall proficiency in using technology as a tool to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Must be able to be physically present in the insurance agency branch to perform job duties.
