If you’re motivated by making a real impact and working alongside people who genuinely care, you’ll feel right at home here.What You’ll DoAs our Architect / Design Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping R&R’s built environment—from early visioning through construction. You’ll lead design efforts, collaborate across teams, and ensure projects meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and creativity.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead architectural design for capital expenditure and tenant improvement projects, including visioning, preliminary and final design, and construction documents

Manage and mentor R&R’s interior design team (Spark Design) and serve as the primary liaison between subsidiaries

Delegate and prioritize projects in partnership with ownership, brokers, pre-construction, and design teams

Serve as an internal expert on building codes, BOMA standards, Autodesk Revit, and quality control processes

Review, seal, and approve construction documents as required by local jurisdictions

Oversee coordination with outside vendors to maintain finish standards, availability, and preferred pricing

Stay current on workplace design trends and present concepts to ownership, subsidiaries, clients, and stakeholders

Support development projects including new construction, redevelopment, capital improvements, and large tenant projects

Lead and participate in design charrettes and build-to-suit opportunities

Manage external architects, engineers, and MEP consultants on development, renovation, and maintenance projects

Review plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs for accuracy, scope, and quality

Maintain required documentation in accordance with company policies

Travel to R&R properties and project sites as needed

What It Takes to Join Our TeamBachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited four-year institution

Licensed Architect in Iowa and/or Nebraska (or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months)

Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills

Passion for design excellence and continuous improvement
