Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for fabricating and welding metal components used in the assembly of ambulances and specialty vehicles. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality, structurally sound welds while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to specifications
- Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance; rework as needed
- Operate hand tools, grinders, and welding equipment safely
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all safety, quality, and production standards
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG experience a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a production environment
- Welding certification preferred but not required (company training available)
Preferred Experience
- Aluminum welding experience
- Automotive, ambulance, RV, or specialty vehicle manufacturing
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
