Our Concord Pet Care Center is seeking a Veterinary Technician Team Lead to join our established team and help elevate patient care, strengthen collaboration, and drive operational excellence.

As a Veterinary Technician Team Lead, you’ll partner closely with the Business Partner and Partner DVM to support clinical excellence, team development, and seamless operations within the Pet Care Center.

What You’ll Do as a Veterinary Technician Team Lead

Clinical Leadership & Patient Care

  • Assisting in surgeries, dental procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement and lab diagnostics
  • Educating pet parents with compassion and clarity
  • Ensuring accurate medical documentation and patient histories
  • Promoting low-stress and Fear-Free techniques in every interaction
  • Mentoring Assistants and Technicians while fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence

Team & Operational Leadership

  • Support scheduling and time management
  • Participate in daily leadership huddles
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to teammates
  • Oversee inventory counts and ordering within budgetary guidelines
  • Maintain controlled drug compliance and regulatory standards including OSHA and DEA requirements
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment and troubleshoot concerns

Client Experience & Education

  • Educate pet parents on preventative & urgent care, medications, nutrition, and treatment plans
  • Support promotion of services including dental cleanings, senior wellness, and spay/neuter procedures
  • Deliver exceptional communication and compassionate care at every interaction


What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in veterinary clinical care
  • Previous experience leading teams in a clinical environment
  • Comfortable with venipuncture, surgical/dental assistance, and exams
  • Advocate for Fear Free, low-stress handling techniques
  • Tech-savvy, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
  • Passionate about continual learning and professional growth
  • Loves working with both pets and people
