About the Role: Bottle Shop Host


As a Bottle Shop Host, you are the face of Collective Wine & Supply. You create the first impression, guide guests through discovery, and help bring our brand to life through genuine hospitality, thoughtful recommendations, and a calm, elevated presence. You’ll balance guest-facing service with merchandising, inventory, and operations, all while helping cultivate a space that feels curated, approachable, and inspiring.


Hours & Scheduling


Collective Wine & Supply is set to be open daily from 10 am - 9 pm.

Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.

Flexibility to work peak retail hours is required.

The schedule will be discussed based on business needs and your availability.


Core Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Greet guests, understand their needs, provide tailored product suggestions, assist with selections and carrying items, and resolve inquiries.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain basic knowledge of beverage (wine & spirits) inventory on hand.
  • Sales & Merchandising: Drive revenue through suggestive selling, maintain attractive displays, stock shelves, and manage promotions.
  • Inventory Management: Handle inventory, process orders, and ensure accurate stock levels. (Must be able to lift 40lbs).
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with guests by sharing product knowledge and a hospitable demeanor.
  • Exercise responsible and legal identification practices and process guest sales transactions.

Requirements:

Key Skills & Traits

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
  • Passion for wine and spirits and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to work in a changing environment and adapt from individual tasks to guest-facing roles in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to self motivate, meet cleanliness standards and complete assigned tasks.
  • Physical ability to lift cases 40+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays as needed.
  • Must not wear any scented products to work ie., lotions, shampoos, perfumes, etc.




Salary Information

$16.00 - $18.00 Hourly Wage
