About this position
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
Palmer Hamilton, LLC is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Warehouse Laborer with experience operating forklifts and using RF scanners to manage inventory. This role is essential to ensuring efficient warehouse operations, accurate inventory control, and the safe handling of incoming and outgoing materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, and organize materials.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to receive, track, and update inventory in real time.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring products are handled with care and accuracy.
• Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including designated storage areas and equipment.
• Follow established safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company guidelines to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
• Assist in identifying process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous forklift operating experience required; valid certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly, and occasionally more with assistance.
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to follow instructions and accurately document inventory.
• Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse team members.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional workplace.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts as needed to meet business demands.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a warehouse setting with exposure to moving forklifts, varying temperatures, and moderate to loud noise levels. Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided by the company.
