Under the direction of the Facilities Director, this position is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the Academy’s physical plant through excellent service and professional dedication. This role contributes to maintaining a safe, functional, and dependable campus environment that supports the Academy's mission. Special events, On-Call, and end-of-session turnover periods may require overtime work.

  

· Coordinate and work with outside contractors as required.

· Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment.

· Diagnose and complete electrical repairs as needed.

· Replace failed or defective electrical components.

· Collaborate with other trades and maintenance staff on electrical-related issues.

· Install, maintain, and support electrical and telecommunications/data infrastructure.

· Support campus systems, including telephone, fire alarm, security, and intercom systems.

· Assist the Technology Department with wiring, cutovers, and related tasks as required.

· Assist with troubleshooting HVAC systems across campus.

· Install power distribution systems for assigned renovation and new construction projects.

· Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and legal requirements.

· Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Director.

· Availability to perform bi-weekly on-call services.

· Assist with snow removal, shoveling, and salting throughout campus.

Requirements:

  

Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally heavier loads with assistance.

· Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairs and work at heights, including rooftops and in confined spaces.

· Ability to bend, squat, twist, and move without restriction.

· Ability to reach overhead and perform physical tasks, including stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Qualifications:

· Current electrician’s license as required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.



Salary Information

$26.00 - $30.00 Hourly Wage
