Pacific Ag Carriers is looking for a Mechanical Technician – Light Diesel to help maintain and service our fleet of diesel semi-trucks and large logistical equipment. Based out of our Hermiston, Oregon shop, this full-time position plays a key role in ensuring our fleet stays reliable, safe, and on the road.What You’ll DoPerform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel semi-trucks, trailers, and related equipmentDiagnose mechanical issues and efficiently perform necessary repairsInspect, clean, lubricate, and service vehicle componentsInstall replacement parts and assist with fleet modificationsKeep shop tools and areas organized and stockedDocument work completed and communicate with management on fleet needsOccasionally support field operations across NE Oregon and SE WashingtonWhat We’re Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus1–3 months of mechanical experience, or equivalent education/trainingValid driver’s license with a clean driving record required(Class A CDL with doubles endorsement preferred)Knowledge of diesel and gas vehicle systems, pneumatics, and hydraulicsSkilled in troubleshooting and using hand/power toolsStrong communication, organization, and teamwork skillsBilingual (English/Spanish) a plusWhy Join Pacific Ag Carriers?Competitive hourly pay (DOE)Full company benefits packageMonday–Saturday schedule - Split Days Off: Sunday + a choice of Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, with occasional evenings/weekends/holidaysOpportunity to work with a supportive, safety-focused teamBe part of a growing company with deep roots in regional agriculture and logisticsPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing, bending, climbing, and manual tasksAbility to lift/move up to 50 lbs.Exposure to outdoor environments and shop settingsMust be able to perform detailed inspections and repairsApply TodayIf you’re a dependable and motivated technician ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you. Monday–Saturday - day shift mostly, Split Days Off: Sunday + a choice of Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Some evenings, weekends, and holidays could be required based on business need.
