About this position
PURPOSE
The role supports the day-to-day accounting operations, helps maintain accurate financial records, and assists in preparing financial reports. Requires an understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles. May include any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries, fixed asset or inventory accounting, intercompany accounting, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, cost accounting, and account reconciliations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTED OUTCOMES
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING
- Prepare and post journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts on a regular basis
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist other team members with accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data
- Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats
- Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice
- Extract and combine data to generate standard reports
- Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft Office
Expected Outcomes:
- Region and group reporting timelines and deliverables are completed efficiently in accordance with the timetable and to the required quality
- Technical accounting assessments are completed to a high quality, providing sound technical accounting analysis together with pragmatic and commercial considerations

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred (internships or entry-level roles count!)
- Basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
