Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Part-Time Chase Driver to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various commercial vehicles to transport goods, equipment, and personnel across different routes. Your expertise in driving and vehicle operation will ensure timely deliveries and smooth logistics operations. What You'll Do:
- Follow CDL driver and transport them to and from sites.
- Observe CDL driver vehicle for any issues (straps hanging, lights not working etc.)
- They deal with all the billing (fueling, food, lodging, tolls, rental cars, etc.)
- Collect and record all receipts for all expenses
- Drive to breakdowns or other vehicle related issues with CDL vehicles.
- Help strap cars or equipment to trucks as well as loading and unloading of trucks
- Help move cars around lots if needed
- Pickup and transport employees or customers from airports
- Ensure dispatch paperwork is completed in its entirety
- Document all information regarding assigned work
- Interact with customers during vehicle deliveries to get paperwork and signatures
- Run parts between stores or to the customer when needed
- Do inspections of vehicles daily (fluids, lights, tires, fuel, etc.) to ensure proper working order
- Complete visual inspection of vehicles for damages or leaks etc. daily
- Note, take pictures, and record information regarding vehicle condition and report it to management
- Maintain Confidentiality
- Ability to cooperate and deal tactfully with staff members, guests, and customers
What We're Looking For:
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 21 years of age preferred
- Be able to drive automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- Unrestricted drivers license and a clean driving record
- Class D license preferred
- Basic vehicle systems knowledge and understanding
- Basic knowledge of driver logbooks
- Must be willing to travel overnight and/or fly on occasion, if needed
