Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Personal Injury / Vestibular Rehabilitation
Reports To: Physical Therapist / Clinic Director
Position Overview
Axon Medical Centers is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our personal injury team. This role focuses primarily on vestibular rehabilitation and the treatment of patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents and other trauma-related injuries.
The ideal candidate will have experience in treating post-concussion syndrome, whiplash-associated disorders, dizziness, vertigo, balance dysfunction, and cervical spine injuries. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver evidence-based treatment while maintaining strong documentation standards required in personal injury cases.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Treatment
Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Administer vestibular rehabilitation exercises including:
Gaze stabilization
Canalith repositioning (e.g., Epley maneuver, under PT direction)
Balance and proprioceptive training
Habituation exercises
Assist in treatment of:
Post-concussion symptoms
Cervicogenic dizziness
Whiplash injuries
Lumbar and cervical spine dysfunction
Soft tissue injuries related to motor vehicle accidents
Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to supervising PT.
Educate patients on home exercise programs and compliance.
Documentation & Compliance
Complete accurate, timely, and defensible daily treatment notes.
Document measurable progress toward functional goals.
Maintain compliance with state practice acts and clinic policies.
Support documentation standards required for personal injury and legal cases.
Ensure all notes are completed prior to end of shift unless otherwise approved.
Team Collaboration
Participate in daily team huddles.
Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, and front desk staff.
Provide clear handoff communication to supervising PT regarding patient status.
Maintain professional dress and clinical demeanor at all times.
Operational Support
Assist with maintaining clean, organized treatment areas.
Support patient flow efficiency.
Ensure equipment is sanitized and maintained.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current PTA license in the State of [Insert State].
CPR/BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of outpatient orthopedic or vestibular rehab experience preferred.
Experience in personal injury or motor vehicle accident cases strongly preferred.

$30 - $40
