Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our patient-centered integrative team focused on a holistic and natural approach to healthcare. The FNP will provide primary care services across the lifespan, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, and patient education. This role is integral to delivering high-quality, accessible care to individuals and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, imaging, and screenings
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and self-management strategies
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited FNP program
  • Current and unrestricted Oregon state license as a Nurse Practitioner
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
  • DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Oregon
  • Current BLS (and possibly ACLS) certification
  • Excellent communication, clinical, and organizational skills
  • Prior experience in primary care or family practice preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Commitment to patient-centered and culturally competent care
  • Bilingual ability (optional, but preferred)
