About this position


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced mechanical repairs on gas and diesel-powered vehicles, including engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and brake systems.
  • Complete technical repairs independently with minimal supervision.
  • Follow manufacturer repair guidelines and all applicable safety protocols.
  • Accurately document repairs using the company’s work order system, including labor hours and parts usage.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Provide support to fellow mechanics as needed.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently, correctly, and in a timely manner.
  • Operate company vehicles in compliance with safety practices and company policies.
  • Respond professionally to shifting Fleet and Operations priorities.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency repairs as needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal departments and represent the company professionally to external vendors.
  • Adhere to company, OSHA, and departmental safety standards and protocols.
  • Promptly identify and report any safety hazards or concerns.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Texas Driver License with a clean driving record.
  • Must own a comprehensive set of personal mechanic tools.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and documenting procedures accurately.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally if required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Must sign a Non-Disclosure/Non-Compete Agreement due to the nature of work performed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with diesel engines and systems.
  • Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a shop environment and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods on a variety of surfaces.
  • Must be physically able to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, and move freely.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Flexibility to work extended or unpredictable hours as needed.

$24.0 - $30.0 Annual Salary
