Looking to redefine the skyline or to be a part of the team who does? We are currently recruiting for a Preconstruction Coordinator to join our team in Portland, OR.
Join our Estimating and Sales Department as a Preconstruction Coordinator. In this role, you will provide routine administrative support to the team during the bid-out process for multiple projects at one time. Support company growth by finding new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and assisting sales/marketing, involving market research, lead generation, creating proposals, coordinating events/meetings, and tracking industry trends to help secure deals and expand the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists in the preparation of pre-qualification and bid package for submittal to the customer.
- Oversees information flow including estimating files, bid instructions and specifications for bid preparation.
- Prepare and send material RFPs (Requests for Proposals) to vendors for quotations.
- Assist in preparation of detailed project estimates with Senior Estimators.
- Receive, download, file and distribute plans and pertinent information for bids in a timely manner.
- Maintains a current database of all quotes, suppliers and brochures.
- Creates and maintains standards for the estimating and sales departments as well as document presentation.
- Coordinate vendor and client meetings. Schedule and take minutes of scope review meetings.
- Research and identify potential MWBE (Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise) vendors as required in specific markets for projects.
- Obtains labor rates, tax rates, transportation expenses, duty rates and any other cost information as required for the preparation of the cost estimate.
- Support sales team in proposal preparation.
- Contact vendors/sub-contractors for quotes, qualifications, and other information as required.
- Assist with reviewing construction documents.
- Follow up with general contractors to provide detailed bid proposal feedback in a timely manner following submissions.
- Attendance during regular work hours and overtime as required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education
- College degree or relevant professional experience in business, project management or administration, preferred.
Experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Well organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
- Ability to function in an occasionally high stress environment to meet deadlines.
- Experience working with bids, pre-qualifications or estimating and construction environment.
- Experience in sales, account management, or marketing is beneficial.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to understand architectural and structural drawings, preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office, Bluebeam, and Power Point.
- Effective personnel interaction and communication skills to deal effectively with estimating staff and management.
