Position Overview
As the Construction Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Branch by locating potential new business within our scope of work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Internet Research on City, County, State, and Federal websites to assist with the solicitaion of potential business
- Creates weekly/monthly bid schedules
- Coordinates and assign project bids to sales team
- Assists locating potential new business within our scope of work
- Assists in documentation related to daily activities and construction related documents
- Works under supervision of a Branch Manager and Office Manager
- Helps in the preparation of reports, including monthly development reports
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Display a high level of organization and prioritization for tasks at hand
- Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment
- Extremely strong research skills
- Display superior written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills
Education and/or Experience
- Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering program, and or has bachelor’s degree in related field
- Intern experience/coursework in construction projects high volume environment is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Microsoft Project
