Business Data Analyst

Job Title: Business Data Analyst (reports to Business Process Improvement)

Location: Seffner, Florida (Corporate office)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, timely internal analyses based on current needs.
• Develop analyses, metrics, and reports to provide insightful recommendations to the accounting team, senior leadership, as well as various departments.
• Participate and actively engage in initiatives which require analytic support.
• Work cross-functionally with departments to ensure that appropriate communication on project needs and information is obtained and considered.
• Identify trends and make recommendations actions based on sound analysis.
• Engage in opportunities to grow knowledge and skills related to best practices in analytical methodologies, verification, knowledge of data sets, drawing insights, and effective communication.
• Support manager and accounting team on financial requests and special projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a major in Finance or Accounting required
• One or more years of experience in finance or accounting related field
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel
• Possess a natural curiosity when developing research
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to reason and solve problems independently
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and within a team environment
• Exceptional multi-tasking and prioritization abilities
• Ability to maintain confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

• One or more years of financial, business, and/or operational analysis experience
• Basic knowledge of writing SQL
• Experience developing analysis using any Business Intelligence tools (like Power BI, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Tableau etc.,)
