Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting a Quality Control Technician for the Fort MacKay location on a 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotation, 12-hour shifts. Reporting to the General Foreman your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following.
What you will do:
Maintain all records related to quality assurance of work orders, including non-conformance report (NCR) programMonitor quality control inspection protocol to ensure that all standards are met or exceededAssist members of the team by providing training to employees, produce job completion reports, and analyze project scopes for sales quotesAdminister in-house NDE testing and CWB programAssist welders with welding tasks if necessaryWhat you bring to the position:
Proficiency and knowledge in all position use of: GMAW, FCAW, SMAW; all sizes of weld wireCollaboration skills to work with various team members to achieve company objectivesCommunication skills to read, write, listen and speak in a clear and concise manner to individuals at various levelsPreference will be given to applicants that have worked on Oil Sands sites and demonstrate sustained safety consciousnessIntermediate computer skillsYour qualifications:
CWB Supervisor TicketCWB Level 1 Inspector qualificationJourneyman WelderMinimum of 5 years of Quality Control experience in a similar positionMinimum of 3 years direct experience in mining equipment rebuild and repairValid fall protection & elevated work platform certificate is preferred Additional valid safety certifications is an asset What we bring:
