Position Summary:

Green Bay Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and energetic Youth Golf Academy Instructor to help teach and coach junior golfers ages 4–16. This role plays an essential part in creating a positive, fun, and development-focused learning environment for young players of all skill levels. The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, enjoys working with kids, and has a strong understanding of golf fundamentals.

Reports to: Director of Golf

Supervises: None

Employment Status: Seasonal


Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach golf fundamentals including grip, stance, swing mechanics, putting, chipping, and on course etiquette. 
  • Assist with the design and delivery of age appropriate lesson plans, drills, and activities. 
  • Coach players during clinics, camps, and junior programs, ensuring instruction is engaging and fun. 
  • Foster an encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence, sportsmanship, and respect. 
  • Help supervise small and large groups safely and effectively. 
  • Support junior events, competitions, and developmental programs as needed. 
  • Communicate with parents in a professional and friendly manner. 
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism consistent with Green Bay Country Club standards. 
  • Assist with equipment setup, cleanup, and program logistics.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of golf fundamentals; playing or coaching experience required. 
  • Positive, upbeat personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to adapt instruction to various ages and skill levels. 
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for youth development. 
  • Must be dependable, responsible, and comfortable leading groups. 
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required. 
  • PGA/PGA Associate status preferred but not required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, including golf bags and equipment.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including temperature extremes and inclement weather.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, and walking across the golf course and other areas.
