About the Role
Our Sanitation Technicians play a critical role in keeping our production facility safe, compliant, and ready for the next shift. This position works between production shifts, ensuring all food and non-food contact surfaces are cleaned and sanitized efficiently within tight turnaround times.
This is a hands-on, physically active role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Clean and sanitize production equipment and surfaces daily
- Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure food safety standards are met
- Follow detailed sanitation schedules and document completion
- Maintain inventory of cleaning chemicals and sanitation supplies
- Assist in overall plant and warehouse cleanliness
- Lift and move hoses, equipment, and chemical containers (20–50 lbs)
- Work in wet/humid conditions while wearing protective gear
- Report any food safety, quality, or safety concerns immediately
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Night & overnight shift availability
- Ability to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts (including weekends)
- Comfortable standing, lifting, crouching, and working in a physical environment
- Reliable transportation to Erie, PA
Preferred:
- 1–2 years sanitation experience in food manufacturing
- Familiarity with USDA, state, and customer sanitation requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured schedules
