About this position

Summary

 

We are seeking a highly capable and self-motivated IT Support Technician to join our Information Technology team. This role supports both factory-floor systems and IT infrastructure, including mission-critical applications such as payroll, shop floor systems, and enterprise services. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, with strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset toward improving local infrastructure. Flexibility to alternate shifts upon request is required. 

 

What you'll do in this position

 

System & Hardware Support

  • Install and configure operating systems, software, and in-house applications.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of devices including laptops, desktops, iOS products, scanners, label printers, and cameras.
  • Set up and support peripherals such as printers and scanners; install network cabling as needed.

 

User & Technical Support

  • Provide responsive support to users across the plant and office environments.
  • Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Act as a local technical resource for resolving software, hardware, and network issues.

 

Infrastructure & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with corporate IT to communicate local goals and align on initiatives.
  • Identify gaps in local infrastructure and help implement solutions using IT best practices.
  • Support and maintain systems that are critical to operations, including payroll and enterprise applications.

 

What we are looking for in this position

 

Technical Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and distributed printing systems.
  • A comprehension of cloud systems, containerization, APIs, virtual environments, and zero trust architectures.
  • Knowledge of Linux systems and headless compute environments.
  • Comfortable with CLI workflows and scripting basics.

 

Tools & Technologies

  • Experience with PDQ Deploy/Inventory, SimpleMDM, Group Policy, and firewall configuration.
  • Understanding of networking/computing concepts: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, SSH, PoE, RAID, and SATA.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues across platforms.

 

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field or 2+ years of hands-on IT experience.
  • Certifications like A+, Network+, MCSA are a strong plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements: 
Must possess mobility to work in a standard plant and office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. You must be comfortable working at all heights in a scissor lift.


Salary Information

$23.56 - $26.01 Annual Salary
