About this position
Position Overview:
Good Earth Tools is looking for a high energy, self-motivated individual to join our Ballast Tools Equipment (BTE) division as a Material Hander. The successful candidate will be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to adjust to changing priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Unload and store incoming materials and products
- Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas
- Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory
- Prepare component products for assembly by identifying their location, then pulling, organizing, and delivering them to the appropriate work cell
- Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move product
- Perform and report cycle counts
- Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Prefer a minimum of one year of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; previous experience in operating material handling equipment required
- Must have the ability to obtain forklift certification upon hire
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance is required
- Must have the ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
- Must have the ability to work 40 hours a week and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record; Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime is strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, grasp, climb, read, talk, write and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job
- Must also be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The following should be expected to be encountered: long periods of standing, frequent lifting, pushing and pulling, noise within the plant
