At the heart of our community is WindRiver Club, a private members-only club soon to feature Clubhouse Village — home to our restaurant, bar, spa, fitness center, event spaces, and pro shop.
As a Dockhand, you will work closely with the Harbor Master and Vice President of Operations to support daily marina operations and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members and guests. This role is responsible for maintaining facility standards, supporting dock operations, and providing exceptional member service.  This position is intended to fulfill the marina’s seasonal staffing needs. The expected schedule is generally as follows:
Full-time: March–September
Part-time: October
Off-season: November–February 


Responsibilities 

Facility & Operations

• Ensure marina facilities, including docks, slips, walkways, and the fuel dock, are clean, safe, and well-maintained (including pressure washing and debris removal).
• Assist members and guests with safe docking, undocking, and securing of vessels.
• Follow all fueling procedures, environmental regulations, and spill prevention protocols.
• Conduct routine dock inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Monitor weather conditions and assist with storm preparation and dock security as needed.
• Perform monthly utility meter readings and accurately record/report data per marina procedures.
• Perform weekly pump-out services and maintain pump-out equipment in compliance with environmental standards.
• Monitor inventory and assist with general maintenance and additional duties to support marina operations. 


Customer Service & Events

• Provide courteous, professional, and proactive service to members, homeowners, and guests, serving as a positive representative of WindRiver.
• Assist guests with loading/unloading and respond to requests or concerns, escalating to the Supervisor when appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed.
• Maintain required uniform, grooming, and professional appearance standards at all times. 

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (preferred).
  • Must be at least 18 years old (required).
  • 1-year customer service experience (required).

 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to perform a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, mornings and holidays. 
  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with staff and customers. 
  • Ability to be a team player? 
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations 
  • Ability to operate in a full-time capacity (up to 40 hours a week) during peak season (March-September), and part-time during the off season in October. 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, climb stairs, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be willing to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
