Job Summary

  The Metal Hose Welder is responsible for welding and assembling flexible metal hose assemblies according to engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. This position requires precision TIG welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with thin-gauge stainless steel components.

  Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and other metal hose components.
  • Weld thin-wall tubing, braid collars, fittings, and end connections.
  • Assemble flexible metal hose products per blueprints and work instructions.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and welding symbols.
  • Ensure welds meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct visual inspections of completed welds.
  • Perform pressure testing and leak testing when required.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper setup.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Meet production goals and deadlines.
  •  Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of TIG welding experience (preferably on thin-wall stainless steel).
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Knowledge of welding safety standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  •    Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS welding certification.
  • Experience with orbital welding (a plus).
  • Familiarity with pressure testing procedures.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience welding flexible metal hose or similar products preferred.
  •  Work Environment 

  • Manufacturing/production setting.
  • Exposure to welding fumes, heat, 
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs.
  •  Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout shift.
  • Good vision (corrected acceptable) for detailed weld work.
  • Steady hand control for precision TIG welding.
