This position is on 2nd shift with a 4-day/10-hour schedule, giving you consistent hours and an extra day off every week.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform production inspections and new tooling layouts using a variety of metrology lab equipment
  • Operate, maintain, and perform basic programming on OGP, CMM, vision systems, and other measurement equipment
  • Complete PPAP submissions, layouts, and capability studies
  • Review and interpret Plex quality data and respond appropriately
  • Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T
  • Accurately complete lab logs and documentation
  • Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to support daily operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit‑ready quality lab
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow all lab safety requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Metrology Lab Manager

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong data entry and computer skills
  • At least 2 years of experience working with spreadsheets
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work independently and stay focused in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in quality or a related field (layouts, sample submissions, capability studies), or equivalent internal experience
  • CMI/CQT certification or refresher coursework
  • Working knowledge of:
    • ISO 9000 / IATF 16949
    • SPC (Statistical Process Control)
    • Basic GD&T
    • R&R studies
  • Hands‑on experience with:
    • Vision systems
    • Optical comparators
    • CMMs
  • Comfort working under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
