POSITION OVERVIEW:
Thermogenics has an immediate employment opportunity for a General Labourer who will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing operations while benefiting from valuable manufacturing experience.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Operate with a safety first mindset
- Work with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely
- Communicate effectively with fellow employees, customers and suppliers
- Operate various hand and power tools and welding machines in a safe and responsible manner.
- Provide material handling support in a manufacturing environment.
- Preparing and painting our boilers as the last step of the manufacturing process
- Care and maintenance of a fully equipped industrial paint booth
- Maintaining shop cleanliness
- Other general tasks as assigned including but not limited to:
- Material Handling
- Supporting shipping and receiving functions
- Loading and unloading equipment to / from trucks, cranes and trailers
- Supporting our trades in the manufacturing of boilers and auxiliary equipment
TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Industrial painting experience: perhaps automobile painting is an asset
- 1-3 years of previous work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – desire to be a team player
- Previous experience in crane and forklift operation, WHMIS Training, Confined Space and Fall Arrest training.
- Valid driver’s license

TERM, HOURS OF WORK AND COMPENSATION:
Hours of work are 40 hours / week and structured according to the plant schedule as follows:
Monday – Thursday 6:30am – 5:00pm
May also be from 6:30 am to 3:45 pm Monday to Thursday and 6:30 am to 11:30 am on Friday. Occasional overtime (e.g. weekends) work may become available as required in the business and paid at overtime rates. We expect to compensate the successful candidate at hourly rates consistent with market and based on experience. The role is entitled to 4% vacation pay and paid statutory holidays. We have a full benefit package and retirement.
