Job Title: Development Intern 

Job Description:

We are looking for a Development Intern to join our team at Feeding Westchester for the summer! Reporting directly to the Manager, Individual Giving, the Development intern plays a critical role in supporting Feeding Westchester’s efforts to build awareness about our mission, services, needs and successes, as well as to position the organization in leading hunger-relief in Westchester County. We are looking for someone that has a desire to learn the Development and food banking functions within the non-profit sector while assuming some executive administrative functions on behalf of the team. This is a great stepping stone as it will provide exposure to many different aspects of non-profit work. 

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Manager, Individual Giving, on the logistics and coordination of our new Hunger Youth Committee
Assist in planning and executing special projects within the Peer-to-Peer program, and donor stewardship activities, such as volunteer projects and donor recognition events
Assist in the development of fundraising materials and management of platformsProvide support in maintaining relationships with donors and supporters, including summer newsletter mailingAssist in tracking and analyzing fundraising data and compiling reports for managementConduct research to identify potential donors, sponsors, and funding opportunitiesProvide general administrative support to the fundraising department, such as creating informational folders, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence

Requirements:

Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and research skillsAbility to problem solve and learn new concepts quicklyStrong planning and project management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with others in a team structureInterest in influencer marketing, fundraising and nonprofit work; experience a plusPassion for hunger relief

SALARY: School Credit or $16.50/hr
