At Citizens Bank, it is our mission to create a great place to bank, work, and live. As an Intern you will get first-hand experience on how we carry out that mission while gaining knowledge of various positions within banking. 


Main Responsibilities

  • Learn about the different departments in banking and how they contribute to the bank’s mission. Departments to be shadowed include frontline, bookkeeping, loans, finance, accounting, etc. A complete schedule will be provided during the onboarding process. 
  • Visit all of our branches to learn more about the role they play in the bank’s success. 
  • Observe and participate in various internal and external meetings. 
  • Complete a project of the bank’s interest and present it to a panel. 
  • Work in a specific role/department related to the student’s major for a portion of the internship. 
  • Maintain and perform in accordance with all regulatory guidelines, including BSA, CIP, etc., and required training associated with those guidelines. 
  • Completes other related duties and assignments as may be required from time to time. 

Schedule

The paid internship is scheduled to start June 1, 2026, and end July 30, 2026, with an average of 35-40 hours worked per week. The intern can expect to work Monday through Friday from approximately 8:30AM-4:30PM. The intern is not entitled to a paid job at the conclusion of the internship.

Requirements:
  • Must be actively enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in accounting, banking, finance, business administration, economics or other related degree. 
  • Must have completed at least one year of college towards degree at time of hire. 
  • Must provide a current transcript at the time of interview.
