We are looking for a new ideal team player as a Sanitation Technician in our Quality department! The Sanitation Technician position is responsible for the general cleaning and sanitation of Cosmos Corporation.
- Complete daily Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Maintains all buildings by detailing walls, equipment, ceilings, overhead pipes, and floors, removing the trash inside the warehouse and both lunchrooms and disinfects equipment according to Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Participates in company training sessions on all safety topics, work instruction, cleaning procedures, Quality standards, and Company and Quality policies.
- SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines.
- Understand and follow hazard analysis and critical control points, (HACCP) and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- Operates Sanitation Cleaning equipment such as, but not limited to Floor scrubbers, Industrial Vacuums, Scissor Lift, Pressure washers, balers, and all-purpose cleaners and sanitizers.
- Must take initiative and be able to execute job tasks with minimal supervision; completes work in a timely manner.
- Visually inspect equipment and complete sanitation checklist.
- Oversees storage of all chemicals and disinfecting equipment and supplies as instructed.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required by Sanitation Supervisor.
- Works to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in manufacturing.
- Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to Sanitation Supervisor immediately.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Overtime hours, including working different shifts and weekends may be required based on work demand. Employees must be flexible with these hours.
- Frequently work in a wet environment.
- Regularly handling and working with cleaning chemicals.
- All other tasks as assigned.
This is a safety-sensitive position and should not be under the influence of any substance.

Requirements
You will hold a high school diploma or equivalent. One year experience in manufacturing.

The employee works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Pack Mule, Floor scrubbers, Industrial Vacuums, Scissor Lift, Pressure washers, Balers, and all-purpose cleaners and sanitizers.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
