Job Description
A CNC operator is the backbone of our private label products, machining flanges to supply our in-house fabrication as well as many straight-to-customer billet products. Our CNC operator will program and operate multiple CNC machines (Haas VF-2 and VF-4) to support the manufacturing production of our components and assemblies, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
Environment:
The employee operates in an active manufacturing environment where exposure to machinery and industrial particulates is common. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Requirements
Job Duties
- Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machinery and equipment to part specifications and work orders for custom parts
- Load and cycle machine from drawings, samples, programs, or instructions without supervision.
- Use of a band-saw.
- Check program specification and tolerance using proper measurement and inspect equipment.
- Inspect end product from bending operation to ensure accuracy and maintain and operate CNC equipment.
- Identify, properly tag, and remove non-conforming materials.
- Complete all required paperwork/computer work correctly and timely
- Perform the first article runs and communicate recommendations as appropriate.
- Operate forklift and manual pallet jack.
- Maintains the work area and equipment clean and orderly and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Report equipment issues to maintenance technician and/or supervisor.
- Kit picking or putaway of parts and materials related tasks as required to support the position
- Other job duties assigned per the needs of the business.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline production and meet project deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of CNC equipment and ability to adjust and solve problems as needed.
- Familiarity with SOLIDWORKS Design Software a plus
- Ability to operate and/or read a tape measure, calipers, protractor, and process sheets.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Effective and professional communication skills-verbal and written.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
- Time management skills, prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to handle stressful situations such as heavy/varying workload and order accuracy.
- Logical troubleshooting skills.

- This position is very active and requires standing and walking for 8 hours a day.

- The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30lbs.
- Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing proper personal protective equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a metal manufacturing environment required.
- Experience with SolidWorks (Knowledge of G & M code programming is a plus)
- Ability to manage setups and perform minor program alterations at the machine
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Previous experience with CNC set up and Programming required
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is located onsite in Wrightstown, WI. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7AM-3:30PM.
