About this position
As a Donation Center Attendant, you are the first point of contact for donors at our attended donation centers. You’ll provide friendly and efficient customer service, assist with unloading donations, maintain a clean and safe site, and ensure all donations are processed responsibly and in line with Goodwill’s mission and values.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet donors promptly and courteously, assisting with unloading donations and providing tax receipts.
- Accurately record donor information and maintain daily donation counts.
- Sort donations into appropriate categories (saleable, salvage, or trash).
- Keep the donation site clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Safeguard all donated items and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Support transportation or site operations as needed and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
What You’ll Need:
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, evenings, weekends, or different locations.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and repetitive motion.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to forty (40) pounds with no support regularly. Over forty (40) pounds request for additional team member assistance as needed.
- Able to perform tasks that require repetitive motion. Manual dexterity is required.
