Plattsburgh Primary Care Pediatrics is looking for someone with advanced customer service skills, experience dealing with Insurance eligibility, scheduling and collections!


Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized


Skills:
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- and procedures
- Ability to handle multiple phone lines and operate phone systems effectively
- Familiarity with managing medical records and maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical administrative support and front desk operations
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service
  • Medical records management
  • Proficient in using multi-line phone systems and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and workers' compensation law
  • Administrative setting

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $16.75 per hour
