Description:

Envision Glass Company, based in Manassas, VA, is a commercial glass and glazing subcontractor specializing in storefronts, curtainwall, interior glazing, and custom metal systems. With our own in-house fabrication and tempering facility, we deliver high-quality products with full control over schedules, coordination, and cost. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support our Senior Project Managers and help drive successful projects from kickoff through closeout.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. You will be involved in procurement, project coordination, communication with vendors and general contractors, scheduling support, material tracking, and overall project administration. This position offers strong long-term growth potential for someone looking to advance in the commercial construction and glazing industry.


What You Will Do

  • Project Setup & Coordination
  • Assist Senior PMs with project planning, scheduling, and communication.
  • Create project setup files in TRUE and maintain accurate job documentation.
  • Enter job numbers in Paylocity and ensure project dashboards remain up to date.
  • Support communication with general contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Attend project meetings alongside the PM.

Procurement & Material Tracking

  • Prepare purchase orders for hardware and miscellaneous materials (reviewed by PM).
  • Submit orders to vendors, track lead times, and follow up for shipment dates.
  • Review deliveries to confirm accuracy and completeness.
  • Track back-ordered items and ensure material readiness for upcoming installations.

Construction Support

  • Coordinate with the Field Superintendent on manpower, sequencing, and material needs.
  • Assist PMs with monthly billing preparation and documentation.
  • Help maintain organized job files, logs, and project updates.

Project Closeout Support

  • Help assemble closeout documents and track completion of punch items.
  • Provide warranty coordination support as needed.

Requirements:

Requirements & Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
  • Comfortable communicating with general contractors, vendors, and field crews.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with project management software such as TRUE, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of construction processes; glazing experience is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the company.

Salary Information

$45000.00 - $55000.00 Annual Salary
