Position Overview:
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all inventory management activities within the 3PL facility, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with customer and company requirements. This role will lead the inventory control team, implement best practices, and collaborate closely with operations, warehouse staff, and clients to optimize inventory accuracy and service levels.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts,      physical inventories, and reconciliation processes to maintain high      inventory accuracy.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor inventory control      policies, procedures, and KPIs for the facility.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, root      cause issues, and provide corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, service      level agreements (SLAs), and company standards.
  • Lead and train inventory control staff, fostering a      culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety.
  • Partner with Operations, Shipping/Receiving, and      Customer Service teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track,      monitor, and report on inventory activity.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports for internal      leadership and customers.
  • Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and Process      Improvement teams to enhance inventory control processes and system      functionality.
  • Support audits (internal, external, and      customer-driven) by providing accurate records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety      requirements.
Requirements:
  •   5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse      management, or supply chain operations, preferably within a 3PL      environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS),      ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify issues,      and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team      management skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing customer relationships in a      service-driven environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including      walking, standing, and lifting up to 40 lbs. as needed.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends during      inventory or peak periods.
