Job Summary

Olson Toon Landscaping is seeking a skilled and dependable Irrigation Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems. This role is responsible for ensuring irrigation equipment operates efficiently and safely while supporting overall landscape maintenance operations. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting abilities, technical irrigation knowledge, and experience working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems

• Install and program irrigation controllers

• Diagnose issues and perform system repairs and adjustments

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems remain in proper working condition

• Winterize irrigation systems and perform spring start-ups

• Run irrigation lines, set sprinklers, and operate residential and commercial irrigation systems

• Maintain inventory of irrigation parts, tools, and equipment

• Compile and submit reports on system conditions as needed

• Troubleshoot irrigation wiring, locate wire faults, and perform minor controller repairs

• Apply landscape maintenance techniques and proper tool usage

• May lead the work of 1–2 laborers and provide guidance to when needed


Requirements:

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of irrigation service experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license required

• Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and layouts

• Working knowledge of irrigation wiring and troubleshooting methods

• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuitry

• Ability to operate various maintenance equipment

• Strong organizational skills to manage parts and inventory

• Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.


Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and carry materials throughout the day

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and work in multiple physical positions for extended periods
