About this position
SUMMARY & ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of the Community Crisis Specialist:
Performs community organization and outreach work and assists in providing services to customers and family members, under the supervision of the Assistant Emergency Services Manager.
- Gathers and compiles intake information required by various funding sources for delivery of services
- Informs area residents of availability and types of services;
- Circulates written information pertinent to community needs and issues
- Provides outreach and follow-up services to individuals and groups within targeted areas
- Enters high volume of intake information into NHS database, using form #100
- Assists in shelving and set-up of food from Food Bank
- Sets-up and enrolls clients in nutrition related seminars and workshops as needed
- Performs other tasks as assigned by manager
- Salary Level: $16.00 per hour

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree (A.A.) in human services or social sciences discipline and one year related experience and/or training; or at least High School Diploma and three years related experience.
