About this position

 


SUMMARY & ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of the Community Crisis Specialist:

Performs community organization and outreach work and assists in providing services to customers and family members, under the supervision of the Assistant Emergency Services Manager.

  • Gathers and compiles intake information required by various funding sources for delivery of services
  • Informs area residents of availability and types of services;
  • Circulates written information pertinent to community needs and issues
  • Provides outreach and follow-up services to individuals and groups within targeted areas
  • Enters high volume of intake information into NHS database, using form  #100
  • Assists in shelving and set-up of food from Food Bank
  • Sets-up and enrolls clients in nutrition related seminars and workshops as needed
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by manager
  • Salary Level:         $16.00 per hour

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Associate’s Degree (A.A.) in human services or social sciences discipline and one year related experience and/or training; or at least High School Diploma and three years related experience.

Salary Information

$16.0 - $16.0 Hourly Wage
