Job Summary

The Warehouse Training & Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment by overseeing training programs, safety initiatives, and ensuring all processes, best practices, and policies are adhered to consistently. 


Essential Functions

The primary function of the Warehouse Training & Safety Coordinator is to train all new employees in PIV operation and safety. This role ensures all employees are adequately trained in warehouse operations and SOP guidelines.

  

Additional Responsibilities:

Training & Development:

· Train in appropriate programs for all new warehouse employees.

· Maintain training materials, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), forklift certifications and all other materials related to an employee’s training record.

· Conduct periodic refresher training sessions.

· Maintain accurate training records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Safety & Compliance:

· Enforce workplace safety policies in accordance with Company policy and procedure.

· Perform safety and training compliance audits as directed by the Quality and Safety Manager.

· Work with Operations Managers to investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety violations.

· Oversee the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with hazardous materials handling requirements (if applicable).

· Track the quarterly safety bonus plan.

Culture & Continuous Improvement:

· Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives and report unsafe conditions without fear of retaliation (in line with MA whistleblower protections).

Collaborate with management to align safety and training strategies with operational goal 

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities

  

· Self-motivated

· Attention to detail

· Strong presentation and communication skills.

· Knowledgeable in Forklift operation and Safety Rules & Regulations. Able to train warehouse equipment including all types of forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

· Proven skills in problem solving

 Knowledge of Transportation, Logistics and Customs operations.

· Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA standards and Massachusetts workplace safety regulations.

· Preferred certifications: OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, forklift trainer certification, or other safety/training credentials.

$30.00 - $30.00 Hourly Wage
