Summary: Orangewood Christian School is seeking a Lower School Receptionist for the 2026-27 school year. The Lower School Receptionist provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, as well as additional clerical duties. This job operates in a professional office environment. Applicant must have strong computer aptitude as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The Lower School Receptionist is a position requiring a calling to use God-given talents to further the Kingdom of God. The Lower School Receptionist is expected to be a minister to the OCS community through actions, speech, attitude, and prayer, as they point students to Christ.
Essential Function:
? Greet and assist students, parents, teachers and guests
? Answer and direct all incoming school phone calls
? Notify company personnel of visitor arrival
? Maintain reception area, and adjoining conference room, in a welcoming, orderly and attractive manner
? Maintain security by following procedures; issuing visitor badges, updating drill logbook
? Maintain and input daily attendance including tardy log and sending 6th grade ineligible student reports
? Receive, sort and distribute all incoming mail
? Assist with reservation of rooms for events, tours and testing
? Assist administrators on admin hallway with projects and tasks as needed
? Maintain and update phone lists
? Possess ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
? Demonstrate ability to organize, multi task, prioritize and work under pressure
