Customer Service Representative

About this position

A Customer Service Representative will act as a liaison between the company and customer, provide information, answer questions, and resolve problems with accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checks in drivers as they arrive at our facilities and coordinates with the dock personnel for the assignment of doors for loading or unloading. 
  • Performs clerical work such as entering orders and receipts into CWI and/or customer WMS systems. 
  • Prints all documentation needed for unloading and loading of trucks such as pick tickets, check sheets, lot labels, put-away sheets, bills of lading, and receipt notices. 
  • Works closely with the operations for printing special request documents and inventories. 
  • Performs all filing by customer and date. 
  • Answers telephones and personal inquiries, routes visitors and calls to the appropriate personnel, and schedules all appointments for inbound and outbound carriers. 
  • Operates a variety of office equipment. 
  • Sorts and files correspondence, reports, and other materials, alphabetically, numerically, or by other established classification. 
  • Works closely with the operations to make sure the necessary supplies are in stock.
  • Review all documentation and ensure the SOPs are being followed.
  • Make sure the cycle count reports are printed daily per our SOP’s, counted, and signed by the supervisor of each facility.
  • Back up or fill in for other positions as necessary including but not limited to CSR or other administrative support roles.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of office practices, methods, and procedures
  • Some knowledge of general warehouse practices, terminology, and documents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions including meeting safely and successfully qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
  • Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance. 
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs. The position requires standing, sitting and/or walking for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures from freezers to ambient temperatures.

  • Night shift the schedule is as follows Sunday 1am-7am; Sunday - Tuesday 7pm-7am
