The Sr. Mechanical Engineer Role:


Are you a highly experience Sr. Mechanical Engineer that has led cradle to grave mechanical development for small hardware?  We are seeking someone who enjoys owning the mechanical design for product enclosures.

  • Lead the engineering of mold injected plastic enclosures
  • Own the full mechanical design from concept to CAD to manufacturing
  • Product full mechanical drawings with material specifications and finish details for machined and injection molded parts.
  • Review, test, and validate designs and rapid assembly
  • Communicate with vendors for production builds

This is a FT, exempt, non-supervisory role reporting to the VP, Engineering. This role is on-site in San Antonio with 0-10% travel expected.


Requirements:

Qualifications you bring:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering
  • 7-10 years of experience in mechanical design experience of small parts
  • Strong CAD experience including 2D and 3D
  • Deep understanding and experience with injection molding and CNC machining
  • Tools: calipers, micrometers, etc
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal

  • Ability to maintain awareness during business hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and good command of the English language.
