Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping. This role ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational efficiency while leading and developing warehouse staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations to support receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.
- Ensure consistent execution and enforcement of warehouse policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Review and approve employee time records for accuracy and coordinate with appropriate personnel when corrective action is required.
- Partner with Human Resources and management to initiate policy and performance-related corrective actions in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain performance expectations and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts and reconciliations, to maintain accurate records.
- Ensure effective and accurate use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory tracking, order processing, and reporting.
- Enforce Company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Oversee warehouse equipment readiness and coordinate inspections and maintenance in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Analyze warehouse performance data and provide regular reports to management on inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and improvement opportunities.
- Identify, recommend, and support process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, optimize workflows, and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with Facilities and other departments to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organized warehouse environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
Experience:
- 2 + years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or facility support roles preferred.
- 1 + years of experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar management role.
- Certification for operating a forklift is an advantage.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Constantly move within the warehouse and operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
- Frequently position self to pick items, assemble furniture, or perform repairs.
- Occasionally ascend/descend ladders to access storage areas.
- Constantly communicate with team members and operate a computer for inventory tasks.
- Frequently lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise, and dust.
