About the Role:
The Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Loader and related equipment, including moving and loading materials. Operators must maintain focus on assigned tasks, ensure accuracy and attention to detail, follow all safety protocols, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support smooth and efficient plant operations
Responsibilities:

- Safely operate the Loader and other assigned equipment.
- Follow directions from supervisors regarding production schedules and proper feed rates into drum feeders or in-feed conveyors.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader.
- Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Loader.
- Operate other equipment and perform additional duties as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- High attention to detail to prevent injury and promote workplace safety.
- Ability to follow instructions for equipment operation and record-keeping.
- Ability to execute assignments accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience operating a Loader or similar equipment in recycling, construction, or related industries.
- Knowledge of Loader operation and other heavy machinery.
- Understanding of computerized controls and electronics.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience training new operators.
- Clear communication is essential; bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment safety protocols.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with recycling plant operations or material handling processes.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Normal work environment is a recycling plant, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.

- Required to use motor coordination with arms, hands, fingers, and legs.
- Required to engage in physical activity that includes pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting objects more than 80 pounds.
- Required to work from ladders or raised platforms.
- Required to stand or work on concrete floors most of the workday.
- Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
- Normal setting for this job is material recycle facilities, repair/maintenance facility outdoors or other facilities.
