About the Role:
The Intake Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the initial client engagement process, ensuring a smooth and efficient intake experience. This position is responsible for gathering and verifying client information, coordinating with various departments, and facilitating timely communication to support service delivery. The Intake Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for clients, providing a welcoming and professional environment while accurately assessing their needs. By maintaining organized records and managing appointment scheduling, this role supports operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Ultimately, the Intake Coordinator contributes to the overall success of the organization by enabling seamless client onboarding and fostering positive relationships from the outset.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant Certification
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare, social services, or related environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with standard office software and database management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) or client management software.
- Familiarity with privacy regulations such as HIPAA or equivalent standards.
- Background in social services, healthcare administration, or related fields.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for new client inquiries, providing clear and compassionate communication.
- Collect, review, and verify client information and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate intake appointments and follow-up communications between clients and service providers.
- Maintain detailed and confidential client records in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate timely service delivery and resolve any intake-related issues.
