Bring creativity to life at Camp Tracy! The Arts & Crafts & Theater Specialist is responsible for creating, organizing, and leading an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with weekly camp themes and sparks imagination in every camper. This role blends artistic expression, hands-on learning, and leadership—using nature, performance, and creativity to help campers explore, grow, and build confidence. Working closely with the Camp Director and senior staff, this position plays a key role in shaping a dynamic, well-rounded camp experience that is safe, fun, and inspiring. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop an inventory of needed supplies and equipment in cooperation with the Camp Director.
  • Utilize nature and the environment in craft projects whenever possible.
  • Provide age-appropriate activities for all groups.
  • Provide leadership to the camp groups during the arts and crafts/theater session.
  • Act as a senior staff member, working with the Camp Director and other senior staff members in the coordination of camp activities, in particular, the Arts and Crafts program as it relates to the overall camp program.
  • Plan and conduct activities to achieve camper development objectives.
  • Observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations or emergency procedures, and apply appropriate management techniques.
Requirements:

 KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent related experience is desirable

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must possess and demonstrate knowledge or experience working in arts and crafts and theater, as well as with children

WORK SCEHDULE: Seasonal - 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm
