About this position
CT Temperature Controls is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Service Coordinator / Dispatcher to support our HVAC Controls team. This role is the central hub of communication between customers, technicians, and project managers—ensuring service calls are scheduled efficiently, resources are allocated properly, and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
Service Scheduling & Dispatching
- Schedule service calls based on priority, location, and technician skill set
- Adjust schedules to accommodate urgent requests or changes
Customer Communication & Troubleshooting
- Primary contact for service requests and scheduling updates
- Triage initial customer calls to assess needs and assign appropriate technician
- Provide timely updates on service status and follow-ups
Work Order Management
- Create, update, and close service tickets
- Ensure job details, parts requests, and documentation are accurate
Coordination & Support
- Collaborate with project managers, sales staff, and technicians
- Assist in ordering and tracking parts
Administrative Duties
- Maintain service records and preventive maintenance schedules
- Prepare service reports and assist with invoicing
Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in service coordination, dispatching, or customer service (HVAC or building automation preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficiency in scheduling software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
- Basic HVAC controls knowledge is a plus!
